What does GIMP stand for? GNU Image Manipulation Program

What is GIMP and when was it
developed? GIMP
is a computer program for creating and editing digital images. It came about in a 1995 computer science
class project by two students.

What is a dock in GIMP? Dialog window and can hold quite a few dialogs inside.

4.
What is a tear-off menu in GIMP? It can help you grab any menu and turn it
into a window of its own.

Is GIMP available for systems other
than Windows? If so, what systems? (See Appendix A for more information about
this): GIMP
can be installed on Macintosh and Linux or UNIX. Each one has certain criteria that have to
be met before installing.

Why might you use the NEW VIEW feature of GIMP? It lets you view more than one view of the same image.

Who is WILBER and who created him? Wilber is the GIMP mascot and he
was created by Tuomas Kuosmanen (“Tigert”)
